I always had a fascination for shadows and light. Do you know that famous line from the singer Leonard Cohen?

“THERE IS A CRACK IN EVERYTHING,

THAT’S WHERE THE LIGHT GETS IN”

When i hear that line, i think about my work, an essential part of it.

There is that beauty in the world, what i like to show, but there is also the conflict.

The kindness and the hatred. Climate change. Ignorance. The wealth and the poverty.

The light and the dark.

Thats the essence of my work. How everything relates to each other.

How things change.

When i am in Kenya the word poverty has another meaning,

the nights are darker but the stars a brighter. Literally.
